A Warren County girl was missing Wednesday after leaving her home on foot following a dispute with her parents, Sheriff Martin Pace said.
Bailey Elizabeth Miller, 14, was reported missing at 10 p.m. Tuesday, Pace said. She was last seen walking on Virginia Ridge Road in the Bovina community.
“There is no evidence at this time of any foul play, but as with any missing person, we investigate all possibilities,” Pace said.
An Amber Alert has not been issued because there is no evidence Miller is in danger.
Several days before she was reported missing, Miller’s parents took her cellphone away from her over a discipline issue, Pace said.
“She was possibly still upset about that and she left the house walking,” he said.
The teen was wearing a red shirt and blue jeans when she left walking. She has auburn hair and blue eyes. She is 5′ 3″ tall and about 175 pounds.
Miller has been entered in the National Crime Information Center Database as a missing person, Pace said. The sheriff’s office pulled surveillance videos from convenience stores near the family’s home and asked Edwards police to also investigate surveillance tapes, Pace said.
Anyone with information about Miller is encouraged to call the Warren County Sheriff’s Office at 601-636-1761 or Central Mississippi Crime Stoppers at 601-355-8477.
