Authorities are awaiting the results of an autopsy on a Tennessee man who was found dead in the cab of his 18-wheeler on U.S. 61 South, north of the intersection of Pemberton and Iowa boulevards.
Warren County Coroner Doug Huskey said Jerry Lee Brothers, 57, was pronounced dead at the scene.
He said foul play was not suspected.
He said Brothers was found by a Vicksburg police officer responding to a call from the man’s employer, VBS Carriers, to check on the truck because its GPS system indicated the vehicle had not moved.
“The death was apparently by natural causes,” Huskey said, pointing out information found about Brothers indicated he suffered from diabetes and high blood pressure.
