THREE JAILED IN REX TV BURGLARY

Three Jackson residents were arrested Monday on charges of burglary and grand larceny, Vicksburg Police Officer Beverly Prentiss said.

Sonya Grace, 18, 1812 Marshall Place; Derrick Jones, 17, 632 Winters St.; and Derron Green, 26, 1138 Berbena Drive, were in the Warren County Jail this morning.

They were arrested by Patrolmen Bobby Clark, Mack Richards, Darlene Jackson and John Roland, after a burglary was reported at Rex TV on Pemberton Square Boulevard, Prentiss said.

SOUTH STREET RESIDENT HELD IN POLICE ASSAULT

A South Street resident was arrested Monday, after two Vicksburg Police officers were assaulted, said Beverly Prentiss, public information officer.

Jerome Baker, 24, 1803 South St., was in the Warren County Jail this morning on two counts of assaulting a police officer.

Baker was arrested after Patrolmen David McLeod and Greg Ransom answered a disturbance call in the 1500 block of Grove Street and were attacked by a man they attempted to question, Prentiss said.

Neither officer required medical treatment.

STEREO, TELEVISION REPORTED STOLEN

House and auto burglaries were reported to Vicksburg Police over the holiday weekend, said Beverly Prentiss, public information officer.

On Friday, a JVC stereo, valued at $100, was reported missing from a 1989 Jeep Cherokee parked in the 2700 block of Dana Road, Prentiss said.

Two days later, a resident in the 3000 block of Wisconsin Avenue reported her front door had been kicked in and a 19-inch Zenith TV, valued at $300, was missing, Prentiss said.
