FRANK H. GUEST
Frank H. Guest died Friday, Nov. 17, 2000, at Vicksburg Medical Center. He was 69.
Mr. Guest was born in Hornlinden, Miss., and had lived in Vicksburg for the past 24 years. He was a veteran of the Army, serving in the Korean War.
He retired as store manager from Welders Supply. He was a Mason and member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Carrie Helen McCain Guest of Vicksburg; two sons, Hugh Guest and Sidney R. Guest, both of Vicksburg; two daughters, Brenda K. Wasson of Greenville and Nita Gale Poole of Vicksburg; a brother, Billy Guest of Magee; three sisters, Jimmie Runnels of Benoit, Virgie Grissom of Tutwiler and Martha Smith of Batesville; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Revs. Billy Brumfield, Billy Guest and Ray Spence officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Sidney R. Guest II, Kristopher R. Guest, Joseph T. Guest, Herbert F. Poole III, Nicholas E. Poole and Douglas Adam Wasson.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Hyland Masonic Lodge.
Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
JAMES M. SIGREST
FOREST James M. Sigrest died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was 73.
A native and lifelong resident of Scott County, Mr. Sigrest was a retired manager of the A&P Food Store in Forest. He was a member of the Hillsboro Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and secretary-treasurer for many years. He also served as a part-time mail carrier after his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Sigrest.
He is survived by a daughter, Lindy Windham of Forest; a son, Joe Sigrest of Utica; a sister, Marlene Ueltschey of Forest; a brother, Marco Sigrest of Forest; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services were Friday at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest with the Revs. Ricky Gray and Doug Pitts officiating. Burial followed at Hillsboro Methodist Cemetery in Hillsboro.
Pallbearers were David Dooley, Scott Dooley, Jeff Turbville, Howard Sigrest, Junior Davis and Quinton Mills.
Honorary pallbearers were Paul Smith, Billy Pope, Billy Ray Sigrest, Gary Spence, Roy Frazier, Rodney Russell, Marcus Ueltschey and Jim Ueltschey.
