GERTRUDE E. KLARE BAZSINSKY
Gertrude E. Klare Bazsinsky died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, at Vicksburg Medical Center. She was 98.
Mrs. Bazsinsky was a native and lifelong resident of Vicksburg. She was the daughter of the late Ferris Charles and Sophie Marcus Klare. She worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a secretary for 30 years. She was a member of the Vicksburg Book Club, Vicksburg Garden Club, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Nathan Bazsinsky, and a sister, Maxine Elliott Klare.
She is survived by a daughter, Klare Bazsinsky Sullivan of Clinton; a sister, Dorothy M. Klare of Vicksburg; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Bryant, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Aubrey Sullivan Sr., David Sullivan, Aubrey Sullivan Jr., Michael Sullivan Sr., Joseph Sullivan and Michael Sullivan Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Marion Metzger Jr., Dr. Lee Giffin, James Lowe, Ferris Sullivan, Kai Sullivan and Joshua Sullivan.
CAROLE A. METZ
Carole A. Metz died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. She was 63.
Miss Metz was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg and a member of First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Sunday school class and vacation Bible school.
She was preceded in death by her father, George W. Metz Jr., and a brother, Billy Metz.
She is survived by her mother, Kate Wilkerson Metz of Vicksburg and many other relatives.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Eric Thomas and Dr. John G. McCall officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 Wednesday night at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be John Stout, Phil Solomon, Ronald Moore, Charles E. Hendrix, Duane Cameron and Lloyd Willie.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tom R. Wilson, John Palmerton, Paul Albritton, Jack Virden, Dr. Daniel Edney, Dr. Randy Easterling, Richard George, David Haworth, Richard Lloyd Wilkerson, David Wilkerson and deacons of First Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church building fund, 1607 Cherry St., Vicksburg, MS. 39180; the Lottie Moon Christmas offering or to a favorite charity.
T.J. WARNER
PORT GIBSON Services for T.J. Warner will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Pine Grove Christian Church in Port Gibson with James Devine officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Port Gibson.
Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and from 10:30 a.m. until the service Thursday at the church.
Mr. Warner died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at Claiborne County Hospital. He was 84.
He was a member of Pine Grove Christian Church and the Christian Aid.
He is survived by a son, Arthur Warner Jr. of Sheridan, Wyo.; and other relatives including Bernice Warner and Donald Warner, both of Jackson, and Sylvester Warner, Louis Warner, Mattie L. Barnes and Alma Williams, all of Port Gibson.
