Truck driver Kerean J. Bates of Tallulah hands Vicksburg Patrolman Malcomb Lilly paperwork after Bates’ truck, which was carrying heavy equipment, flipped onto its side on the westbound Clay Street on-ramp of Interstate 20. The accident occurred at 4:53 a.m., Lt. David Beard of the Vicksburg Police Department said, after the 18-wheeler’s load shifted while making the curve. The accident kept the on-ramp closed for hours while the truck was unloaded and turned over. No one was injured. (The Vicksburg Post/PAT SHANNAHAN)
