Vicksburg Fire Department Lt. Bill Lewis spreads oil absorbent on Clay Street Thursday around 4:35 p.m. after the driver of a truck parked at NAPA Auto Parts hit a curb and punctured the gas tank while leaving the business at 1800 Clay St., Battalion Chief John Wilkinson said. The driver, who was never found, headed east on Clay Street and left behind a trail of gas about a mile and a half long, causing one lane of traffic to be closed while the gas was cleaned up.
