CLARA COLTHARP BRIDGE

MADISON Clara Coltharp Bridge died Sunday, July 8, 2001, at Manhatten Health Care Center in Jackson. She was 94.

Mrs. Bridge was born in Talla Bena, La., and lived in Cocoa, Fla. for 37 years before moving to Madison. She was a homemaker and a member of Tallulah Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chalmer E. Bridge; her parents, John Andrew Coltharp and Bertha Edwards Coltharp; and a son, Jack C. Bridge.

Survivors include her daughter, Betsy B. Covington of Madison; two granddaughters, Gai C. Craig of Birmingham, Ala., and Gusta C. Stanford of Jackson; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah with the Rev. Lauren Moore officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service Wednesday at the funeral home in Tallulah

FLORENCE PIERCE JENKINS

HOLCOMB Florence Pierce Jenkins died Saturday, July 7, 2001, at Grenada Lake Medical Center. She was 71.

Born in Warren County, Mrs. Jenkins was retired from Westinghouse. She was a member of Bradley’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce Washington Pierce and Callie Christine Newsom; and a sister, Evelyn Pettway.

She is survived by her son, Michael Jenkins of Frankfort, Ind.; her daughter, Janice Hearn Mitchell of Holcomb; two sisters, Christine Sims and Ruby Whatley, both of Vicksburg; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home with Eugene Sims officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Glenn Worthy, Tony Worthy, Mitchell Worthy, J.W. Redditt, Kenny Mitchell and George Dwiggins.

DORIS LELIA TEASTER

Doris Lelia Teaster died Sunday, July 8, 2001, at Vicksburg Medical Center. She was 77.

Mrs. Teaster was born in Attala County to A.D. Hearst and Eva Mabry. A homemaker, she was a member of First United Pentecostal Church.

She was preceded in death by two sons, William J. Teaster and Robert Teaster.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Henry Teaster of Vicksburg; three daughters, Gloria Berton and Shirley Blakeney, both of King George, Va., and Susan Wade of Franklin, N.C.; two sisters, Evelyn Robinson of Yazoo City and Kathryn Broom of Benton; two brothers, Elkin Hearst and Randolph Hearst, both of Benton; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Stricklin-King Chapel in Yazoo City with the Rev. Don Tipton officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Michael Berton, Randy Robinson, James Lloyd Teaster, Billy Robinson, Randy Hearst and Lynwood Teaster.
