PAUL DUNN
Paul Dunn died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2001, at his sister’s home in St. Francisville, La. He was 36.
A Vicksburg native, Mr. Dunn worked as a plumber. He lived in Houston, Texas, for a number of years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Dunn.
Survivors include two daughters, Rachel Dunn and Lacey Dunn, both of Houston; his father, Hughey Dunn of Vicksburg; a sister, Shelia Dunn Henderson of St. Francisville; two brothers, Prentice Dunn and Gary Dunn, both of Straight Bayou, Miss.; his grandmother, Nona Dunn of Bay Springs; and his grandfather, Robert Dunn of Pioneer, La.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home with Lee Dunn of Joyner, Ark., officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

BESSIE STAMPLEY GAINES
Bessie Stampley Gaines died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. She was 83.
Mrs. Gaines was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ella Norton Stampley; three brothers, Curley Stampley, Francis Stampley and Freddy Stampley; and two sisters, Helen Jackson and Mary Butler.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Gaines of Vicksburg; one son, Karl Gaines of Vicksburg; one brother, George Stampley of Athens, Ga.; nephews; nieces including Dot Daniel of Vicksburg; and other relatives.
W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
