MARY JANE CHRISTIANSEN

EDWARDS Mary Jane Christiansen died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. She was 80.

A native of Oxford, Neb., Mrs. Christiansen had lived in Edwards for the last 15 years. She retired from Northwestern Bell Telephone Company where she was chief operator and sales representative. She was a member of the Baptist faith and the Eastern Star for over 60 years.

She is survived by her son, John Christiansen of Edwards; her sister, Haley Mowery of San Francisco; two grandchildren, Adam Christiansen of Prattville, Ala., and Angela Rigby of Madison; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Edwards City Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Raymond.

ALLIE MAE ABRAHAM THOMAS

Services for Allie Mae Abraham Thomas will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Wade Baptist Church in Terry with the Rev. W.T. Jones officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday at Robbins Funeral Home and from 1 p.m. until the service Saturday at the church. Wake will be from 6 until 7 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Thomas died Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, at her home. She was 80.

A native of Crystal Springs, Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker and a farmer. She was a member of Mount Wade M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, T.J. Thomas; and her sister, Christine Dotson.

She is survived by four sons, Jimmie Thomas of Vicksburg, Willie Thomas and Clyde Thomas, both of Chicago, and Timothy Thomas of Harvey, Ill.; five daughters, Teresa Noye of Vicksburg, Mary Simpson of Houston, Texas, Margaree Ratliff of Harvey, Ill., Sandra Kennebrew of Bellwood, Ill., and Jeannie Gonzalez of Chicago; her sister, Ollie Lee Dotson of Sacramento, Calif.; 27 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Robbins Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
