BUDDY GRAY

HUNTINGTON, Tenn. Buddy Gray died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at Methodist LeBonheur Hospital in Jackson, Tenn. He was 60.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Robinson Gray of Huntington, Tenn.; a son, David Gray of Pearl; four stepsons, Field Robinson and Preston Robinson, both of Huntington, Blake Bell and David Bell, both of Vicksburg; two daughters, Vickie Illingberg and Cheryl Harris, both of Shreveport, La.; a stepdaughter, Jade Robinson of Huntington; his brother, William “Scooter” Gray of Puckett; his stepmother, Earlene Gray of Puckett; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Puckett Cemetery under the direction of Fisher-Riles Funeral Home.

JOHNNY DOUGLAS LOFTON

BROOKHAVEN Services for Johnny Douglas Lofton of McCall Creek will be at 10 this morning at Concord Baptist Church in Brookhaven.

Mr. Lofton died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at his sister’s home in Brookhaven. He was 66.

He was born in Franklin County and had lived in Vicksburg.

He was a retired welder and a veteran. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Allie Elizabeth Lewis Lofton; his sister, Hilda Ray Smith; and his brother Ernest Russell Lofton.

He is survived by his sisters, Faye Bullock of Friendswood, Texas, and Bobbie Porter of Brookhaven; his brother, James Olen Lofton of Summit; and nieces and nephews.

NORMA MARCIL MANESS BARNES

ROLLING FORK Norma Marcil Maness Barnes died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. She was 73.

Mrs. Barnes, a native of Arkansas, was a homemaker who lived in Glen Allan.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Don Foch Barnes; a son, David Allen Barnes; two sisters, Hazel Henry and Retha Dahl; two brothers, Raymond Maness and Sherman Maness; her mother, Gertrude Rebecca Humble Maness; and her father, Phillip Andrew Maness.

She is survived by three sons, Teddy L. Barnes of Springfield, Mo., Jimmy D. Barnes and James R. Barnes, both of Glen Allan; one daughter, Becky Barnes Willard of Glen Allan; one brother, Darrell Maness of Nevada, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lake Washington Baptist Church in Glen Allan. Burial will follow at Greenfield Cemetery in Glen Allan.

Visitation will be at Glenwood Funeral Home in Rolling Fork from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today.
