EVEN START FAMILY LITERACY PROGRAM Now accepting applications for parents seeking their GED with children (ages 6 weeks-4 years) in need of full-time day care; day care is provided to families who actively participate in the all parts of the program. The program includes GED classes (Monday-Thursday), parenting classes (Fridays), day care (30 hours/week), and literacy-based visits in the home. Transportation can be provided. TABE tests are given on the first Monday of each month; Ruthanne Shockley, 636-7687, for registration requirements.

MISSISSIPPI STATE WELCOME CENTER Representatives from the American Red Cross will be present throughout March to talk about the programs the Red Cross offers; the display schedule is as follows: week of March 4 tornado/disaster awareness; week of March 11 CPR/first aid; week of March 18 military/veterans program; week of March 25 combination programs and Red Cross memorabilia on display; 638-4269.
