BOBBY J. BRIDGES SR.
OAK GROVE Bobby J. Bridges Sr. died Monday, April 8, 2002, at West Carroll Memorial Hospital in Oak Grove. He was 55.
Born in Monroe, Mr. Bridges was a resident of Oak Grove.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilburn Franklin Bridges; and his mother, Hattie Belle Bridges.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Bridges of Oak Grove; his son, Bobby Bridges Jr. of Monroe; his daughter, Kathy Bridges of Oak Grove; three brothers, Scott Bridges, Johnny Lee Bridges and Leroy Bridges, all of Lake Providence; four sisters, Jimmie Whitehead of Alexandria, La., Mary Lee Smith of Pine Bluff, Ark., Betty Lou Pace of Oak Grove and Irene Frith of Lake Providence; his grandson, Scott Bridges of Monroe; and other relatives, including Melissa Bridges of Monroe.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cox Funeral Home in Oak Grove with the Rev. John Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow at Epps Cemetery in Epps.
Pallbearers will be Mike Shopher, Bill Ellerbe, Jessie Ard, Shane Ard, Ricky Brister and Ricky Brister Jr.
HOMER D. CARTER
Homer D. Carter died Monday, April 8, 2002, at Rankin County Medical Center. He was 62.
Born in Yazoo City, Mr. Carter attended Redwood High School. He was a retired employee of Koestler Bakery.
He is survived by his brother, Michael Carter of Alton, Ill.; and three sisters, Judy Barnes of Vicksburg, Mary Ann Peavler of Dade City, Fla., and Lynn Carter of Atlanta.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Anderson officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Wednesday until the service at the funeral home.
ANNIE MAE FOLEY KELLY
Annie Mae Foley Kelly died Sunday, April 7, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. She was 70.
A lifelong resident of Vicksburg, Mrs. Kelly was a retired employee of the Corps of Engineers. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Allen Kelly; a sister, Mary Lee Brown; and three brothers, Robert Kelly, Bernard Kelly and Charles Kelly.
She is survived by two sons, John Anthony Kelly and Steven Paul Kelly, both of Vicksburg; her daughter, Kathy Kelly Hall of Vicksburg; her sister, Betty Hearn of Vicksburg; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas McGing officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Brown, Jim Hearn, Robert Foley, Michael Baker, Tony Baker and R.K. Foley.
