CLYDE BERRY
PORT GIBSON Clyde “Pete” Berry died Friday, April 5, 2002, at his home in Port Gibson. He was 66.
Mr. Berry was a member and deacon at Forrest Grove Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Louise V. Berry of Port Gibson; three sons, Clyde Berry Jr., Dennis Berry and Darris Berry, all of Port Gibson; three daughters, Mary Alice Berry, Mamie Moore and Irma Dell Brandon, all of Port Gibson; two sisters, Thelma Wilson of Fayette and Nannie Montgomery of Detroit; one brother, John L. Berry of Cleveland, Ohio; grandchildren, including Silento Berry of Hempstead, N.Y., and Almita Berry of Port Gibson; great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including the Rev. Willie Wilson and J.C. Campbell, both of Port Gibson.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Forrest Grove Christian Church in Pattison with the Rev. Johnny Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Little Zion Cemetery in the Blue Hill community.
Visitation will be from 1 until 6 today at Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Port Gibson.
KENDRICK ORLANDO CARTER JR.
ROLLING FORK Services for Kendrick Orlando “KoKo” Carter Jr., infant son of Kendrick Orlando Carter Sr. and Reshonda Renea Larry of Rolling Fork, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Shiloh M.B. Church in Rolling Fork with J.H. Whitehead officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home of Rolling Fork.
He died Friday, April 5, 2002, at University Medical Center in Jackson.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Larobert Rasharn Larry of Rolling Fork; his grandmother, Cherry Larry of Mayersville; his grandfather, Robert Thomas of Beaumont, Texas; and his great-grandmother, Mariah Larry of Rolling Fork.
CHARLES DAVID FREEMAN
OAK GROVE, La. Charles David “Bud” Freeman died Monday, April 8, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. He was 91.
Born and reared in Yazoo County, Mr. Freeman was a longtime resident of Oak Grove. He was a farmer and later a grocer at Robinson’s Grocery. After retiring, he worked for M.E.O. Inc.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Freeman; his father, William Nathan Freeman; his mother, Linnie Mae Harrison Freeman; a brother, John E. Freeman; and three sisters, Eunice Barnett, Ruby Breazeale and Vina Mae Powell.
He is survived by his daughter, Betty Fields of Monroe; his grandson, Jared Fields of Monroe; his stepson, Edward Lee Raney of Calhoun, La.; three stepdaughters, Carlene Sanderson of Monroe and Mildred Sullivan and Agnes Whitlock, both of West Monroe; and other relatives, including Kevin Fields of Monroe and Cheryl Hood Hines and John Hood, both of Vicksburg.
Services were Thursday at Cox Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmie Herring officiating. Burial was at Fletchers Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Yazoo City.
Pallbearers were Frank Serio, Pete Hood, Jeff Moody, Lance McClure, Jared Fields and Scott Raney.
Honorary pallbearers were Dallas Lee, Bobby Harper, Albert Alexander, Charles Alexander, John Hood, Andy Hood, Barry Millwood, Marcus McClure, Curtis McClure, Jay Morgan, Seth Vidrine and Jonathan Vidrine.
JOSEPH HENRY KOGER JR.
WALTERBORO, S.C. Joseph Henry Koger Jr. died Friday, April 12, 2002, at St. George Health Care Center in Walterboro. He was 83.
Mr. Koger was a retired rural and city mail carrier. He was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church and the Walterboro Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Henry Koger and Susie Calfee Koger.
He is survived by his wife, Laveta Cook Koger of Walterboro; three sons, William Gary Koger of Aiken, S.C., James W. Cook of Vicksburg and John R. Cook of Cape Coral, Fla.; his sister, Elizabeth Dean of Walterboro; and six grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Bethel Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Lawrence Peebles officiating. under the direction of Fred Parker Funeral Home.

ROBERT W. LANGLEY
Robert W. Langley died Friday, April 12, 2002, at his home. He was 56.
Born in Greenville, Mrs. Langley was the son of the late George W. Langley and Allie Langley Smith. He was a salesman for Frito Lay for 24 years before retiring in 2001.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nadine Langley Thomas; and his brother, Jesse Eugene Langley.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Langley of Vicksburg; four daughters, Laura D. Ellis of Brandon, Lisa Langley and Leigh Anne Emery, both of Vicksburg, and Lacey Lee of Greenville; his sister, Juanita Grassi of Lake Village, Ark.; two brothers, Leon Langley of Clarksdale and George Langley of Birmingham, Ala.; two grandchildren, Katelin O’Donnel Emery of Vicksburg and Madeline Langley Lee of Greenville.
Fisher-Riles Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
