Members of the C shift of the Vicksburg Fire Department hold up reflective numbers available free to all city residents. The fire department is offering the numbers to aid in identifying emergency locations and to shorten response time within the city limits. A limited supply of the numbers is available at Central Fire Station at 1630 Walnut Street, beginning today and daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Citizens need to present a valid I.D. to verify their addresses. Department personnel will be able to assist those who cannot pick up the numbers. The numbers were provided through a federal grant and the City of Vicksburg.
