ELLEN GRACE AINSWORTH

[12/01/02]OAK GROVE, La. Ellen Grace Ainsworth died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at Rapides Regional Medical Center. She was 80.

Mrs. Ainsworth was a resident of Oak Grove, La.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Ainsworth; her father, James Martin Myrick; her mother, Allie Artimissa Myrick.

She is survived by her son, Ed Ainsworth of Rowlett, Texas; two daughters, Carolyn Dennis of Pineville, La., and Terry Frazier of Bossier City; three brothers, Callie O. Myrick of Bastrop, La., Bill Myrick of Odessa, Texas, and Johnny Myrick of Conroe, Texas; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at First Church of God in Oak Grove with the Revs. Andy Myrick, Paul Ninemire, Roy Pepmiller and Dave Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow at Kilbourne Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Renford Rodgers, Charles Rodgers, Donald Robinson, Jim Myrick, Ronnie Myrick and Michael Ainsworth.

MABLE BURKS BAILEY

Mable Burks Bailey died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at Trace Haven Nursing Home. She was 83.

Survivors include her son, Bob Bailey of Vicksburg; and two daughters, Geneva Parnell of Phillips, Miss., and Peggy Byrd of Travis City, Mich.; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Newsom Funeral Home in Charleston. Burial will follow at Magnolia Gardens Cemetery in Charleston.

ROBERT CAGE

Robert Cage died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. He was 84.

Mr. Cage was born in Oak Ridge and was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg.

He was a member of the 226th Engineering Regiment of the U.S. Army during World War II and was awarded numerous citations for combat.

He was a member of the China Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Addie B. Wallace.

He is survived by four sons, Robert Cage Jr., of Long Beach and Earnest Cage Sr., Dujuan Cage and Demond Cage, all of Vicksburg; six daughters, Mable Jennings, Rosie Cage and Jennifer Cage, all of Vicksburg, Beverly Aikerson of Lorman, and Robbie Davis and Ida Torrey, both of Oxford; 20 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Robbins Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

DEBORAH B. GIBSON

Deborah B. Gibson died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. She was 49.

Mrs. Gibson was born in Panama City, Fla., and moved to Vicksburg in the early 1960s. She formerly owned and operated Initially Yours in Vicksburg.

She was a volunteer for the Vicksburg American Cancer Society and the Warren County Relays for Life. She attended the Vicksburg Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her father, C.H. Burch; and her brother, Dewayne Burch.

She is survived by her husband, Rick Gibson of Vicksburg; two sons, Derick Gibson and Cory Gibson, both of Vicksburg; a daughter, Amanda Gibson of Vicksburg; her mother, Emma Lee Burch of Vicksburg; four sisters, Diane Peyton of Fayetteville, Ark., and Dale Junkin, Tonya Bounds and Tina Curtis, all of Vicksburg and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Winkler of the Vicksburg Church of God officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 until 5 this afternoon at Glenwood Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Ural Bliss, Sherwood Lyons, Allin Butts, Lionel Johnson, Steve Peyton, Chad Bounds, Don Hutchison and Bill Messing.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Parrish, David Bliss, Chris Ables, Richard Lack, Waverly Butts and Dr. Daniel Edney.
