THOMAS DALE AINSWORTH

BRANDON Thomas Dale Ainsworth died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at Rankin Medical Center. He was 81.

A resident of Brandon, Mr. Ainsworth was a retired maintenance supervisor for the state and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Frances N. Ainsworth of Brandon; four sons, Glenn Ainsworth, Jimmy Ainsworth and Steve Ainsworth, all of Brandon, and Frank Ainsworth of Magee; a daughter, Mary Dale Mitchell of Madison; two sisters, Jerry St. John of Port Gibson and Jean Barber of Vicksburg; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services were at 10 a.m. Monday at Bethel Baptist Church. Burial followed at the church cemetery under the direction of Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Brandon.

Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, Bethel Road, Brandon, MS 39042.

EDWARD A. CLARKE

Edward A. Clarke died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was 67.

Born in Cary, Mr. Clarke was reared in Vicksburg and had lived in Clinton for the past 25 years. He was retired from Coca-Cola Bottling Co.

He was a Master Mason and in the Drum Corps. He was a member of the Wahabi Shriners and past president of the Clinton Shriners Club. He was a member of Clinton Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Billie P. Clarke of Clinton; one son, William G. Weeks of Clinton; two daughters, Sarah E. Plato of Houston, Texas, and Arlena M. Hanson of Channel View, Texas; two sisters, Emily C. Lambert of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Dot Clarke Griffin of Vicksburg; six grandchildren; and other relatives, including Louise Buckelew of Memphis.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Glenwood Funeral Home with Robert Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Clay Griffin, Allen Jones, David Jones, Chris Jones, Darin Lambert and Chuck Kappler.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Wahabi Shriners.

Memorials may be made to the Transportation Fund of the Wahabi Shriners.

MYRTLE MARIE GREER

OAK GROVE Myrtle Marie Greer died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, at her home in Oak Grove. She was 89.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Elsworth Pollard and Sarah Katherine Pollard; a daughter, Jane Greer Broadway; five brothers, Bill Pollard, Jack Pollard, Ed Pollard, Buck Pollard and Harry Lee Pollard; and three sisters, Lillie Pollard Schrell, Mag Pollard Rudy and Minnie Pollard.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Aubrey Greer of Oak Grove; a daughter, Sally Collins of Oak Grove; a son, Dr. Carlton Russ Greer of Monroe, La.; a sister, Wilma Pollard Wactor of Oak Grove; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Ray officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Mac Collins, Monty Collins, Todd Chop, Stone Broadway, Mick Broadway and Greg Greer.

POLLY NOLAN NOVAK

TALLULAH Polly Nolan Novak died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, at Olive Branch Senior Care Center in Tallulah. She was 88.

Born in Oak Ridge, La., Ms. Novak had lived in Tallulah for the past 17 years. She was a retired hospital cashier and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Tallulah.

Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Smith Ashley of Tallulah; an uncle, Bob Williams of Newellton; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel in Tallulah with the Revs. John Rushing and Cletus Moak officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be James Ashley, Edgar Keyes, Robbie Watkins, Steve Whitley, Mario Varela and Robert Jackson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. L.P. Neumann, Gerald Tonore, Bob Williams, Dean Ashley, Andrew “Sonny” Jackson and Charles “Bubba” Smith.

CORREEN PRINCE

LORMAN Correen Prince died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at University Medical Center in Jackson. She was 57.

Mrs. Prince was a resident of Lorman.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph Prince of Lorman; a son, James Carl Brown of Brooklyn Center, Minn.; a daughter, Angela Thompson of Lorman; a sister, Joyce Thurmond of Chicago; five grandchildren; and other relatives and friends including, Joann Tucker of Natchez, Denise Moore of Fayette, Sarah Jackson of Vicksburg and Dorothy Tinner of Stampley, Miss.

Services will be at noon Thursday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Fayette with Julius Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Thompson Memorial Garden Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson.

Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until the service Thursday at the church.
