Lady Eagles draw Claiborne

Porters Chapel Academy coach Kevin Griffin was pleased with his draw in the Academy-A South State tournament. Now, if his team can only get to Friday.
Four of the 12 tournament teams will advance to the state tournament, meaning the Lady Eagles must win two games in South State, which starts today at Glenbrook in Minden, La. PCA opens play today against Claiborne at 7 p.m.
With a win, PCA advances to play on Wednesday night.
Griffin said if his team can claim the No. 1 or No. 2 spot in South, the Lady Eagles will be matched opposite of North powers Delta and Strider.
“I feel like it’s a good situation, but we have to take care of our business,” Griffin said.
