Charles Ray Peaches Sr.

Charles Ray Peaches Sr., died Thursday, March 27, 2003, at his home. He was 55.
A native of Warren County, Mr. Peaches was a member of St. Paul M.B. Church of Bovina and worked for years as a forklift operator at Cooper Lighting.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Peaches; a sister, Betty Satterfield; and a brother, Jackie Earl Peaches.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Meeks Peaches of Vicksburg; a son, Charles Peaches Jr., of Vicksburg; four daughters, Trulie Peaches and Alexandria Peaches, both of Vicksburg, Andrel Stokes of Utica and Pamela McCullum of Pasadena, Md.; his mother, Trulie Ratliff Peaches of Vicksburg; three sisters, Rosie Meeks and Mary Ellen Reed, both of Vicksburg, and Lois Price of Chicago; two brothers, Marion Peaches of Vicksburg and Joe Willie Peaches of Aurora, Ill.; four grandchildren; and other relatives.
Robbins Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Iva Wilson
Iva “Jo” Wilson died Friday, March 28, 2003, at St. Dominic Jackson-Memorial Hospital. She was 75.
A native of Connellsville, Pa., Mrs. Wilson had lived in Vicksburg since 1965. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Sara McCormick Bitner.
She was a retired sales clerk and a member of the Vicksburg Women’s Bowling Association, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Elks Club and the Vicksburg-Warren County Living with Cancer Group.
Mrs. Wilson was a member of Highland Baptist Church.
Her husband, Maurice G. Wilson, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Jo Evans of Vicksburg; two brothers, Jack Bitner of San Antonio, Texas, and Jim Bitner of Dandridge, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Paula Gordy Kirby, Krystal Lyn Evans, William Chad Gordy and Thomas Keith Evans, all of Vicksburg; and two great-grandsons.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Riles Funeral Home with the Revs. Brian Ivey, pastor of Highland Baptist Church, and Terry White, pastor of Bowmar Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation will be from 2 until 4 p.m. today at Riles Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Chad Gordy, Bob Marr, Charles Montague, John Magruder, Charlie Borrello, Jay Scarborough, Rick Wilson and Paul Gordy.
Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Highland Baptist Church.
William M. Worrell
William M. Worrell died Thursday, March 27, 2003, at his daughter’s home in Yazoo County. He was 66.
Mr. Worrell was born in Claiborne County and lived in Vicksburg for 50 years. He was retired from the Warren County Highway Department after working there 24 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William M. and Virginia Kesley Worrell, and a son, William M. “Bologna” Worrell Jr.
Survivors include one son, Victor Worrell of Vicksburg; two daughters, Victoria Parker of Vicksburg and Polly Garner of Satartia; two brothers, Bob Bolles and Ernest Brown; three sisters, Helen Hearn of Vicksburg, Nancy Worrell and Mary Ellen Golden; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg with the Rev. Patrick Farrell, pastor of St. Paul Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 until 5 p.m. today at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Garner Sr., Mike Hart, Roger Hayes, Billy Joe Harrison Sr., Richard Winas and Preston Partin.
Honorary pallbearers will be employees of the Warren County Highway Department and Dr. Walter Johnston.
