[4/2/03]One day after beating their archrivals, the Warren Central Lady Vikes’ bats went silent in a 2-0 loss to Vidalia, La.
Despite the loss, the Lady Vikes are almost assured a playoff spot thanks to Clinton’s win over Vicksburg. The Missy Gators will have to beat WC on Thursday by at least eight runs to set up a tiebreaker.
Katie Barnett had a second-inning single and Anna Mitchell singled in the seventh for the only two WC hits.
We just weren’t hitting,” WC coach Lucy Young said. “(Vidalia’s pitcher) had some movement on her pitches, but it was nothing we haven’t seen.”
