Donna Holliman Reid

GREENWOOD, Miss. Donna Holliman Reid died Saturday, April 19, 2003, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. She was 53.
A lifelong resident of Leflore County, Mrs. Reid was a typesetting supervisor for Lawrence Printing Co. for more than 20 years. She was a member of Christ Baptist Church where she served as a former pianist, Sunday school teacher and member of the choir.
Survivors include her husband, Larry E. Reid of Greenwood, Miss.; her mother, Inez B. Holliman of Greenwood; two sons, Jay Hodges of Vicksburg and Kerry Hodges of Greenwood; a sister, Kathy Taylor of Southaven, Miss.; a brother, James Holliman of Fort Worth, Texas; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with the Rev. Laney Haley officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Harry G. Sherard III
Harry G. Sherard III died Sunday, April 20, 2003, at his home. He was 86.
A native of Warren County, Mr. Sherard was the son of Harry G. and Louise Hagan Sherard III. He was a 1932 graduate of St. Aloysius. He owned and operated Sherard’s Dairy for a number of years. He was a farmer and cattleman and a former president of the Mississippi Cattlemen’s Association. He served as a deacon at First Baptist, Woodlawn Baptist and Grace Baptist churches. He was a member and deacon at Wayside Baptist Church where he served as a teacher of the men’s Sunday school class.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise McCraine Sherard; and two grandsons, Donny Starnes and Brad Mitchell.
Survivors include his wife, Flora “Flo” Anderton Sherard of Vicksburg; four daughters, Shirley Estraca of LaPlace, La., Linda Shields of Anacoco, La., and Sandra Hynum and Karen Mitchell, both of Vicksburg; a son, Harry G. Garvin Sherard IV of Vicksburg; a sister, Jean Case of Vicksburg; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Riles Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Oliver Ladnier, interim pastor of Wayside Baptist Church, and Sam Dunaway, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Richard Starnes, Bob Harris, Timmy Hynum, Ronny Nevells, Jim Stanford, Randy Nevells, Shane Hawkins and Johnny McMillan.
Honorary pallbearers will be the men’s Sunday school class and deacons of Wayside Baptist Church and the deacons of Grace Baptist Church.

Zula Mae Berry Ward
UNION CHURCH Zula Mae Berry Ward died Monday, April 14, 2003, at University Medical Center in Jackson. She was 37.
Mrs. Ward was a resident of Union Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert Berry Sr. and Irene Wilson Berry; and two sisters, Mary E. Berry and Rosetta Betty Berry.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Ward; three daughters, Alicia Rochea Berray, Candace Denise Berry and Casundra Katrese Ward; a son, Walter Albion Ward; three sisters, Josephine Freeman of Caseyville, Miss., Susie Robertson of McBride, Miss., and Lillie Walker of Vicksburg; three brothers, Elbert Berry Jr. of McBride, Edward Berry of Red Lick and Nathan Berry of Russum; a niece, whom she reared, Kierra Deion Barnes; two grandchildren; and other relatives and friends including Dorothy Bell.
Services were at 11 a.m. today at Spencer Funeral Home Chapel with Foster Topp officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Cliff Watkins
PHILADELPHIA, Miss. Cliff Watkins died Sunday, April 20, 2003, at his home. He was 99.
A native of Leake County, Mr. Watkins was a longtime resident of the Dixon Community in Neshoba County. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Gainey Watkins; and a son, Homer Watkins.
Survivors include four daughters, Jean Schmidt of McComb, Miss., Faye McNemar Gambrell of Vicksburg, Ann Lawrence of Cherry Lake, Fla., and Nell Green of Philadelphia; three sisters, Nettie Ford, Loca Watkins and Alma Fryery, all of Vicksburg; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at McClain-Hays Funeral Home in Philadelphia. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery in Vicksburg.
Visitation will be from 5 untl 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mary Ann Wilson
Services for Mary Ann Wilson will be at noon Wednesday at Baltes Gym at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until the service Wednesday at Baltes Gym.
Ms. Wilson died Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was 41.
She was employed by Alpha Data Corporation as a data analyst for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
She is survived by her mother, Betty J. Bell of Vicksburg; her father, Willie Chambers of St. Louis, Mo.; her fianc, Herbert Dale Williams of Vicksburg; two sisters, Linda Lewis of Atlanta and Valencia Jones of Vicksburg; two brothers, Ronnie Robinson of Atlanta and Mark Robinson of Vicksburg; nieces and a nephew; and other relatives, including Brittany Jones of Vicksburg, the Robinson family of Vicksburg, the Young family of Atlanta, the Conrod family of Indianola and the Warner family of Clinton.
