Calvin Bennett Behr
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. Calvin Bennett Behr died Wednesday, April 23, 2003, in Huntsville, Ala. He was 82.
A resident of Huntsville, Mr. Behr was a veteran of World War II and a graduate of Mississippi State University. He was a member of Blue Lodge Masons, Scottish Rite, the Shrine and York Rite.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ivey F. Behr.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Hasting Behr of Huntsville; a son, Calvin Bennett Behr Jr. of Huntsville; a daughter, Harriet Behr Westra of Little Rock, Ark.; a sister, Ruth Behr Barnes of Vicksburg; two grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Faith Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Earl Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery under the direction of Laughlin Service Funeral Home in Huntsville.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association.
Mickey Reeves
Mickey Reeves died Thursday, April 24, 2003, at River Region Medical Center. She was 63.
Mrs. Reeves was a resident of Vicksburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Reeves; her parents; and brothers.
Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Daffron of Vicksburg; a son, Charles E. Reeves of Vicksburg; three brothers, Neely Robinson of Cleveland, Parker Robinson of Greenwood and Everett Robinson of Brandon; and three grandchildren, Dakotah Daffron, Maisen Daffron and Teaghen Daffron, all of Vicksburg.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Cleveland Cemetery in Cleveland under the direction of Mark Seepe Funeral Home in Jackson.
Willie Mae Scott
HOUSTON, Texas Willie Mae Scott died Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in Houston. She was 55.
Ms. Scott was of the Jehovah’s Witness faith and was a former surgical tech nurse at Twelve Oak Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Scott.
Survivors include two sons, Kevin Scott of Jackson, N.C., and Robert Scott of Wichita Falls, Texas; two daughters, Yolanda Scott Gadison of Houston and Sonya Scott Lundy of Katy, Texas; her mother, Roberta Scott of Vicksburg; two brothers, Larry Scott of Vicksburg and John Scott of Houston; three sisters, Laura Booker of Missouri City, Texas, and Beverly Scott and Betty Jo Scott, both of Vicksburg; ten grandchildren; and other relatives and friends including, Daisy Sterling of Vicksburg.
Williams Funeral Service has charge of arrangements.
Thomas Williams
MONTGOMERY, Ala. Thomas Williams died Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at his home. He was 50.
Mr. Williams was of the Baptist faith and was a former construction worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Georgia Williams; two brothers, Simon Williams Jr. and John Henry Williams; two sisters, Mary Louise Williams and Margaret Williams.
Survivors include three brothers, Michael Williams and Willie Williams, both of Vicksburg, and Robert Williams of Pearl; a sister, Georgia Hardmon of Greenville; and other relatives and friends, including, Annie Bell Harris of Vicksburg.
