Meishia Neoshun McGee Sr.

FAYETTE Meishia Neoshun McGee Sr., died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, in Fayette. He was 30.
Mr. McGee worked as a carpenter and was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. He was also a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dewey and Anna McGee and Alfred Kelly; and three uncles, Percy Kelly, Frank McGee and Earl McGee.
He is survived by his parents, Louis and Pearl McGee of Fayette; his wife, Sharon Diane McGee of Austin, Texas; one son, Meishia Neoshun McGee Jr.; two daughters, Tyana Washington of Austin and Amani McGee of Fayette; his maternal grandmother, Fannie Mae Kelly of Fayette; one brother, Larnell Kelly of Hermanville; two sisters, Mekii McGee and Barbara Buie, both of Fayette; five uncles; nine aunts, and other relatives and friends including Rosanna Gomez of Vicksburg.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Mariah Baptist Church in Fayette with the Rev. John Frye officiating. Burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery in Fayette.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Fayette.
Pallbearers will be Larry West, Richard Hensley, Oscar Russ, Claudie Bailey Jr., Robert Jackson and James Lee.
Honorary pallbearers will be the class of 1991, Larnell Kelly, Derrick Willis, James Kelly, Jeffrey Willis, Elvis Prater and Kennie Ray Kelly.

Emma Lee Sanders
FAYETTE Emma Lee Sanders died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, in Fayette. She was 48.
Mrs. Sanders was born in Jefferson County. She worked as a laborer in the nuclear industry.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bunion Sanders; a sister, Stella Murry; and her grandparents, Richard and Emma Murry.
Survivors include her mother, Hattie M. Sanders of Fayette; two sons, Andra Sanders and LaQuantine Sanders, both of Fayette; four daughters, Tilly Sanders, Tizzie Sanders, Hattie Sanders and Ammee Sanders, all of Fayette; two brothers, James Sanders of Fayette and Bunion Sanders Jr. of Houston, Texas; seven sisters, Susie Mae Woods, Hattie Mae Spiller and Diana Ragg, all of Houston, Dorothy Ellis and Johnnie B. Sanders, both of Fayette, Lillie Mae Hunt of Roxie and Ruth Mae Brink of Alcorn; seven grandchildren; and aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Jefferson County High School in Fayette with the Rev. J.L. Hammitte officiating.
Rollins Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Jo Mary Scott
Services for Jo Mary Scott will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cedar Grove M.B. Church with the Rev. Glenn Turner officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery with W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Scott died Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. She was 60.
A retired seamstress, Mrs. Scott was a member of and former secretary at Cedar Grove M.B. Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Austin Sr. and Alice Austin Perkins, and a sister, Bessie Whitaker.
She is survived by a son, Robert E. Scott of Carrollton, Ky.; two daughters, Tonya S. Gregory and Tracey Scott, both of Vicksburg; five brothers, James Austin and Howard Austin, both of Vicksburg, Fulton Austin of Dallas, Arthur Williams of Detroit and Joseph Austin Jr. of Alexandria, La.; three sisters, Myrtis Wells of Vicksburg, Annie Austin of Chicago and Mae Francis Edwards of Dayton, Ohio; five grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Madison India Simmons
Madison India Simmons, infant daughter of Michael and Patricia Simmons of Vicksburg, died Friday, Aug. 8, 2003, in Jackson.
In addition to her parents, Madison is survived by a brother, Dillon Simmons of Vicksburg; and her grandparents, the Rev. C. Douglas and Nina Simmons of Fayetteville, Ark., and Margie Lewis of Conway, Ark.
Memorial services were held Monday at All Saints’ Episcopal School with the Revs. William V. Martin and Chan Osborn de Anaya officiating.

Mary L. Stukes
Mary L. Stukes died Monday, Aug. 11, 2003. She was 90.
A native of South Carolina, Mrs. Stukes was the daughter of the late Charles Hugh and Belva Hilton Touchberry. She was a former resident of Greenville and had lived in Vicksburg since 1939. She attended Draughns Business College in Jackson and retired as a secretary for the Vicksburg Corps of Engineers after 20 years of service.
She was a member of Bowmar Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Stukes.
She is survived by two daughters, Myrna Gerard of Palmdale, Calif., and Belva Harris of Arlington, Texas; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Fisher Funeral Home with Terry White, pastor of Bowmar Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Friday until the service.
Pallbearers will be Gregg Harris and Douglas Harris.
Honorary pallbearer will be Fred Harris.
