FAYETTE Gertrude Baptiste Queen died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004, at her home in Fayette. She was 75.

Mrs. Queen was a member of the choir at Locust Grove Baptist Church and was a domestic worker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Queen; her parents, Edward Baptiste and Charlena Robinson; and a brother, Edward Baptiste.

Survivors include a daughter, Elouise Scott of Fayette; two sisters, Georgia Ann McDonald of Moss Point and Marvel Ann Wheeler of Baton Rouge; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Services were at 11 a.m. today at Locust Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Jesse Brown officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home in Fayette.

Pallbearers were Robert B. Scott Sr., Jaridd Scott, Robert B. Scott Jr., Eddie Lee Smith, Joseph Smith and John Thompson.

Kimberly Diane Trichell

OAK GROVE Kimberly Diane Trichell died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, in Oak Grove. She was 42.

Mrs. Trichell was a resident of Oak Grove.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Trichell of Oak Grove; a stepson, Charles Michael Trichell of Oak Grove; her father and stepmother, Dennis Ray Sr. and Johnnice Stacy of Oak Grove; her mother and stepfather, Donna Joyce and Edward Oglesby of Oak Grove; her grandmother, Magielene Sims of Oak Grove; a brother, Dennis Ray Stacy Jr. of Oak Grove; a sister, Shanna Lynn Mills of Oak Grove; stepbrothers and stepsisters; nieces and nephews; and other relatives.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Goodwill Church of God with the Rev. Jason Strong officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Corner Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Oak Grove.

Pallbearers will be Damien Bedenbender, Justin Brock, Jeff Philley, Samantha Philley, Robin Wolfe and Bubba Copes.

Charles Hyde Weissinger

CARY Charles Hyde Weissinger died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at Sharkey-Issaquena Hospital in Rolling Fork. He was 80.

A lifelong resident of Cary, Mr. Weissinger graduated from Cary High School and Mississippi State University. He was a veteran of the Army, serving in the Pacific Theatre with the 325th AAA Search Light Battalion in World War II.

He began working as a farmer in 1949 and was a member of the Sharkey County Farm Bureau, Farmers Inc., Indian Bayou Drainage District, Mississippi Cattlemen’s Association and Cary Ginnery. He was a member of Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Weissinger Jr. and John L. Weissinger.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Hazel Mattingly Weissinger of Cary; three daughters, Maryanne Smith of Mandeville, La., Elizabeth Davidson of Suffolk, Va., and Shan Bilotta of Hopkinsville, Ky.; three sons, Charles Weissinger of Rolling Fork, Matt Weissinger of Greenville and Leland Weissinger of Cary; a sister, Claire Hoover of Bethesda, Md.; and two brothers, Spencer Weissinger of Charlottesville, Va., and Thomas Weissinger of Annapolis, Md.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church. Burial will follow at Cary Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at Glenwood Funeral Home in Rolling Fork.

Pallbearers will be Cary Weissinger, Henry Hunter, David McGee III, Charles Weissinger III, Tim Mattingly, Thomas Weissinger, George Quarm, Tommy Weissinger, Charles Andrew Smith and Billy Wynn.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Dick Carter, Bert Clark, H.L. “Cotton” Delk, Roy Gerrard, Donald Harris, George Hollowell, James Hollowell, Dr. Danny Jackson, Mike Lamensdorf, R.D. Logan, David McGee II, William Moore, Merlin Richardson and Monroe Stevens.
