Nancy Botsford

LITTLE ROCK – Nancy Botsford died Sunday, March 13, 2005, at Promise Specialty Hospital. She was 73.

Mrs. Botsford was a native of Ashley County, Ark. She was a resident of North Little Rock for the past 30 years and a former resident of Portland, Ark. A retired travel agent, she was a member of the Portland United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Ethel McKlown Blocker; and a brother, Richard Blocker.

She is survived by four sons, Johnny Botsford and Guy Botsford, both of Vicksburg, and Leo Botsford and Don Botsford, both of Portland; two brothers, Billy Blocker of Arcadia, Fla., and James Blocker of Shreveport; six sisters, Mildred Campbell of Pensacola, Fla., Jane Curtis of Longview, Texas, Helen Ikner of Bossier City, La., Ginger Kinman of Hot Springs, Ark., Viola McKinney of El Dorado, Ark., and Sylvia Norris of Milton, Fla.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Portland United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ron Freeser officiating. Burial will follow at the Portland Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at Jones Hartshorn Funeral Home in Hamburg, Ark.

Pallbearers will be Jake Gay, Billy Grimes, David Pamplin, Graham Pamplin, Buck Streeter and Jim Young.

Percy L. Mixon

CARY – Percy L. Mixon died Friday, March 11, 2005, at Cottage Grove Nursing Home in Jackson. He was 77.

Formerly of Cary, Mr. Mixon was a Memphis resident. He had worked for the Cary Water Department and the U.S. Army.

He is survived by three sons, Percy Mixon Jr., Steven Mixon and Paul Mixon, all of Chicago; one sister, Willie Jones of Memphis; and three granddaughters.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Guiding Star M.B. Church in Cary with the Rev. Karl Dorsey officiating. Burial will follow at Cary Community Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home in Rolling Fork.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. Wednesday until the service at the church.
