William Spencer Banks Jr.
Services for William Spencer Banks Jr. will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Herman Sylvester officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Banks died Saturday, June 4, 2005, at River Region Medical Center. He was 83.
Mr. Banks was retired from Blackburn Motor Co. He was a member of Pleasant Green M.B. Church and an honorary member of Grove Street M.B. Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Spencer Banks Sr.; his mother, Olivia White; a brother, James Lee Banks; and a sister, Gertrude Bailey.
Survivors include two brothers, Clarence Banks of Madera, Calif., and Melvin Banks of Flint, Mich.; a sister, Bettye Odom of Chicago; and other relatives, including members of the Peaches family of Vicksburg and the Bailey and Banks families of Fayette.
Abe Franklin Jr.
Abe Franklin Jr. died Saturday, June 4, 2005, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home in Vicksburg. He was 67.
Mr. Franklin was a laundry service worker.
Lakeview Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Kathrine Marie Littlejohn
TALLULAH – Kathrine Marie Littlejohn died Monday, June 6, 2005, at Madison Parish Hospital. She was 73.
Mrs. Littlejohn was born in Whitney, Texas, and had lived in Tallulah for 14 years. She was a member of Meadow Grove Baptist Church. A homemaker, she retired as a seamstress for API of Tallulah.
She is survived by three sons, Tommy Littlejohn of Fulton, Ill., Clayton Littlejohn of Waxahachie, Texas, and Johnny Littlejohn of Tallulah; five daughters, Anna Hendon of Florence, Janet Allen of St. Joseph, Peggy Mosley of Tallulah, Myra Turnage of Brookhaven and Angela Larson of College Station, Texas; one brother, Bill Halbert of Midlothian, Texas; three sisters, Mozelle Vrzalik of Kaufman, Texas, Maxine Crikel of Waxahachie and Janitta Endsley of Crossett, Ark.; and 24 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with Ronnie and Ann O’Neal and the Rev. John W. Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Shane Littlejohn, Donald Lynn Hendon, Clay Littlejohn, Calvin Johnston, Sammy Batchelor and Fletcher Batchelor.
Honorary pallbearers will be Drs. L.P. Neumann Jr. and Glen Mills and 12 grandsons.
Patsy P. Tillotson
Patsy P. Tillotson died Sunday, June 5, 2005, at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg. She was 71.
Mrs. Tillotson was a native of Greenville and a lifelong resident of Vicksburg. She was employed as a parts clerk with Blackburn Motor Company for 20 years and Atwood Chevrolet for 24 years. She was owner and operator of Tingleville Grocery Store for 10 years and a school bus driver for Warren County. She was a member of Gibson Memorial Methodist Church and attended Bovina Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James A. and Emma Surman Province; two brothers, James Province and Arthur Province; and one grandson, Troy Ellis Tillotson.
Survivors include her husband, Sidney E. Tillotson Sr. of Vicksburg; two sons, Sidney E. Tillotson Jr. and Mark Steven Tillotson, both of Vicksburg; one sister, Peggy Norwood of Gonzales, La.; four grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Fisher Funeral Home with Dr. Chip Starnes and the Rev. Ed Hightower officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 this evening at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Roy Thomas, Jamie Tillotson, Jerry Stewart, Troy Crew, Ricky Tillotson, Clyde McGehee, Frank Norwood and Junie Barlow.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Ellerbe, Dr. Lee Giffin, Dr. Steven Zachow, Dr. Martin Newcomb and the nurses on staff at River Region Medical Center.

Mitchell Young Sr.
Mitchell Young Sr. died Friday, June 3, 2005, at River Region Medical Center. He was 72.
Mr. Young retired as a custodian from the Warren County Schools. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex Young and Annie Simmons Young; his wife, Josephine Johnson Young; one sister, Christine Dixon; a son, Mitchell Young Jr.; and a daughter, Mary Louise Carter.
He is survived by five sons, Gregory Young, Zachary Young, Willie Earl Young and Michael Young Sr., all of Vicksburg, and Elbert Young of Macon, Ga.; two daughters, Cariola Price and Margie Thambi, both of Vicksburg; seven stepdaughters, Delores Dixon of Washington, D.C., Annie Lee Giles of Overlook, Md., and Annie Ruth Johnson, Alice Johnson, Barbara Johnson Harris, Ruby Carson and Patricia Carson, all of Vicksburg; four stepsons, Sammie Lee Richardson and Sam Wilson, both of Overlook, and Gary Johnson and Calvin Johnson, both of Vicksburg; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, including members of the Richardson, Claiborne and Edwards families.
