Freddie Lee Green Sr.

UTICA – Freddie Lee Green Sr. died Thursday, July 21, 2005, at his home. He was 57.

Mr. Green worked in the construction industry.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Greater Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Crystal Springs. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion C.M.E. Church off Mississippi 27 in Utica.

Westhaven Memorial Funeral Home Utica Branch has charge of arrangements.

Lynch C. Hogan

LAKE PROVIDENCE – Lynch C. Hogan died Friday, July 22, 2005, at East Carroll Parish Hospital in Lake Providence. He was 78.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Hogan; his parents, Israel Hogan and Corene Carson Hogan; one sister, Lucille Roberts; and one daughter, Dana Moore.

Survivors include two daughters, Debra Hogan of Ridgeland and Sandra Kay Hawkins of Florence; one brother, Ben T. Hogan of Bossier City; two sisters, Flo Hardin of Shreveport and Marie Hayes of Lake Providence; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends including Mildred Condrey of Lake Providence.

Services will be at 11 this morning at Cox Funeral Home in Delhi with the Rev. Donnie Linson officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson.

Jerry L. Hall

Jerry L. Hall died Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at River Region Medical Center. He was 50.

Mr. Hall was born in Atlanta. He had been a resident of Vicksburg for the past 30 years.

He was a construction worker. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Claudette Hall.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Hall of Vicksburg; one stepdaughter, Aftan Barnes of Vicksburg; one brother, Charles Hall of Alton, Mo.; and three sisters, Barbara White of Jonesboro, Ark., Judy McCammon and Jessie Boleware, both of Vicksburg.

A memorial service will be at 11 this morning at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Sam Dunaway officiating.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Mattie Bell Wilson

PORT GIBSON – Mattie Bell Wilson died Monday, July 18, 2005, at her home in Port Gibson. She was 84.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gabe and Caroline Wilson; and two sons, Wilson Parker and Edward Lee Wilson.

Survivors include five daughters, Janie Shorter, Ethel Minor and Serena Wilson, all of Vicksburg, and Louise Wilson and Lucille Wilson, both of Jackson; two sons, Allen Parker and Tommy Wilson, both of Port Gibson; 28 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives, including Ethel Mae Curry of Port Gibson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Luke Christian Church in Pattison with the Rev. T. E. Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Forrest Grove Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson. Visitation will be from 1 until 5 this evening at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. Sunday until the hour of service at the church.
