Tommie Lee Bailey
Tommie Lee Bailey died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, at Arkansas Children’s Hospital Burn Center in Little Rock. He was 34.
Mr. Bailey was a 1989 graduate of Warren Central High School. He was a member of Cool Spring M.B. Church and later joined 2nd Greater Baptist Church in Little Rock. He was employed with ABF Freight Systems.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearlean and Roosevelt Bailey; his grandparents, Steve and Earnestine Bailey, Berry and Melisia Jordan and Amos Johnson; and a brother, Leon Bailey.
Survivors include two daughters, Bethany Bailey and Tommiesha Bailey; two sons, Antonio Bailey and Tommie Bailey Jr.; nine sisters, Sharolyn Bailey, Willena Dotson and Dorothy Hollins, all of Vicksburg, Carolyn Hollins of Cleveland, Ohio, Debra Linek of Columbus, Ohio, Cora Floyd of Lake Charles, La., Gladys McElrath of Joliet, Ill., and Melisia Moore and Vergie Thompson, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; seven brothers, Nathaniel Bailey, Roosevelt Bailey, Forrest Hollins and Newton Hollins, all of Vicksburg, Freddie Bailey and David Hollins, both of Joliet, and Dennis Bailey of Memphis; and other relatives and friends, including members of the Houston, Jordan and Bailey families.
Lakeview Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Edna E. Caldwell
Services for Edna E. Caldwell were at 10 a.m. today at St. Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick Farrell officiating. Burial followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Caldwell died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, at Covenant Health and Rehab of Vicksburg. She was 84.
Born in Vicksburg, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Alma Thurman Ryals. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Caldwell; a son, Richard Warren Caldwell; a grandson, Steve Caldwell; a great-granddaughter, Samantha Caldwell; one sister, Alma Barrett; and four brothers, Cecil Ryals, Marvin Ryals, Donald Ryals and Sydney Ryals.
Survivors include two daughters, Rose McKenzie and Edna Hadad, both of Vicksburg; three sons, George Caldwell Jr. of Chesapeake Bay, Va., James M. Caldwell of Vicksburg and Charles W. Caldwell of Bothell, Wash.; a brother, Milner Ryals of Sanford, Fla.; and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jeremy McKenzie, Michael Caldwell, Stephen Caldwell, Brian Hadad, Tim Smith and Martin Pace.

Willie Love
Willie “Bill” Love died Friday, Nov. 18, 2005, at River Region Medical Center. He was 72.
Born in Walker, La., Mr. Love lived most of his life in Anguilla and had been a Vicksburg resident for the past several years. He was a retired truck driver for Miller Transport Co. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Anguilla.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Love; a son, Phillip Love; three brothers, Paul Love, Robbie Love and Richard Love; and a sister, Nancy Davis.
Survivors include two sons, Billy Roger Love Sr. of Yazoo City and James M. Love Sr. of Vicksburg; two stepsons, John Brent and Willie Brent, both of Vicksburg; one stepdaughter, Martha Nevels of Vicksburg; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Glenwood Funeral Home of Vicksburg. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery in Anguilla.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Love Jr., Gene Love, James Love Jr., Kyle Barnett, Johnny Nevels Jr. and Billy Love Jr.
Roberta Mae Willis
Services for Roberta Mae Willis will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Grove Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Casey Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at the church Wednesday from noon until the service.
Mrs. Willis died Friday, Nov. 18, 2005, at River Region Medical Center. She was 59.
Mrs. Willis was preceded in death by her husband, Jap Willis Jr.; her parents, Clarence Conway Sr. and Mattie Mae Higgins; and one brother, Clarence Conway Higgins Jr.
She is survived by one son, Timothy Higgins of Vicksburg; one daughter, Charlene Higgins Middlebrook of Vicksburg; three sisters, Mary Lee Vanazdell of Waterloo, Iowa, and Betty Jean Higgins and Diane H. Marshall, both of Vicksburg; two brothers, Robert Alonzo Higgins of Muskegon, Mich., and Karl Young of Chicago; nine grandchildren; and other relatives, including Bessie Johnson of Chicago.
Jessie Worthy
Jessie “Billy” Worthy died today, Nov. 22, 2005, at his home. He was 69.
A lifelong resident of Warren County, Mr. Worthy was a retired security guard.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby S. Worthy of Vicksburg; one son, Michael Craig Worthy of Florida; two stepsons, Joe Hilton Davis of Louisiana and David Roberts of Vicksburg; one daughter, Melody Renee Nordstrom of Vicksburg; four stepdaughters, Theresa Gale Gregg and Sandra Lovell, both of Vicksburg, Judy Heidenreich of Louisiana and Donna Shavers of Raymond; a brother, Louis Reed Worthy of Vicksburg; three sisters, Susie Gertrude Ward, Mary Rose Phillips and Betty Allene Worthy, all of Vicksburg; and 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bradley’s Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. Harry Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Worthy’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at Glenwood Funeral Home and Wednesday at the church from 1 p.m. until the service.
Pallbearers will be Kelly Worthy, Glen Worthy, David Roberts, Clint Truesdale, Butch Phillips, Johnnie Phillips, Mikey Truesdale and Blackie Worthy.
Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Nordstrom, L.D. Williams, Terry Whatley and Dr. Paul Pierce.
