Deena LaVoren Campbell.
Deena LaVoren Campbell died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. She was 42.
Mrs. Campbell graduated from high school in 1981.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Lewis.
She is survived by a son, Cavin R. Campbell of Vicksburg; two daughters, Lakeya Campbell of Vicksburg and Chania Campbell of Fort Jackson, S.C.; her parents, Herman J. Campbell Sr. and Edna E. Campbell; two brothers, Herman J. Campbell Jr. of Kansas City, Mo., and Sgt. Dell Antony Campbell of Fairbanks, Alaska; two sisters, Kisha Patton of Spring Lake, N.C., and Patrina Campbell of Vicksburg; her paternal grandmother, Perri E. Williams of Vicksburg; three grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Lemira Scott.
Lemira Scott died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at his home in Redwood. He was 78.
Born in Warren County, Mr. Scott was a member of Loving Unity Society No. 8 and the NAACP.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otha and Dicey Scott; and a son, Robert Lee Scott.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie Scott; one son, Lemira Scott Jr. of Vicksburg; two daughters, Delores Sims of Long Beach, Calif., and Elmira Curtis of Vicksburg; an adopted son, Johnell Shorter of Vicksburg; an adopted daughter, Phelshia Coffie of Vicksburg; one brother, John Jones of Vicksburg; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, including Gertrude Jones and members of the Dollie family.
