Lucy Holden Bingham died Monday, March 6, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. She was 72.

Born in Cayuga, Mrs. Bingham lived most of her adult life in Vicksburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeremiah Bingham.

Survivors include one son, Henry Bingham of Jackson; two daughters, Rose Bingham and Jackie Steward, both of Vicksburg; two brothers, Willie Holden and J.W. Holden, both of Muskegon, Mich.; one sister, Annie B. White of Vicksburg; a niece and nephew whom she reared, Laura Holden Lewis of Jackson and Curtis Holden of Muskegon; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; and other relatives.

Lakeview Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

John Wesley Parker.

PORT GIBSON – John Wesley Parker died Friday, March 3, 2006, at Claiborne County Hospital. He was 57.

Mr. Parker was born in Claiborne County. He was a member of Greater St. Mark Baptist Church. Following graduation in 1968 from Addison High School, he worked various jobs.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Parker Sr.; and his grandparents, Henry and Alberta Anderson, Love Parker and Martha Appleton.

He is survived by a daughter, Naomi Parker Dent of Port Gibson; a son, Jonathan Parker of Port Gibson; his mother, Lettie Anderson Parker of Port Gibson; four sisters, Frances Anderson McDaniel of Oceantownship, N.J., Ida Parker of Port Gibson, Nadine P. Windgate of New York and Cris P. Davis of Vicksburg; five brothers, Julius Parker and Eddie Ray Parker, both of Port Gibson, Elvin Parker of Vicksburg, Clifton Parker of Clinton and Leroy Parker of Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including Willie B. Lucas Green.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Greater St. Mark M.B. Church in Port Gibson.

Visitation will be from 5 until 6 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson with family hour from 6 until 7.

Mary Laverne Reed.

Services for Mary Laverne &#8220Bonnie” Reed will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hickory Tree M.B. Church with the Rev. Elzie O’Neal officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Tree Cemetery under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Ms. Reed died Sunday, March 5, 2006, at St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson. She was 51.

She was a member of Hickory Tree M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Reed Sr.; maternal grandparents, Alfred Erves Sr. and Hazel Carson Erves; paternal grandparents, John Reed Sr. and Pearl Kelly Reed; and one brother, Dennis Reed.

Survivors include her companion, Eugene Mack of Vicksburg; three daughters, Pamela Dotson, Kimberlin Clark and Kendra Mack, all of Vicksburg; her mother, Gladys Erves Reed of Vicksburg; three brothers, David Reed Jr., Calvin Reed Sr. and Alfred Reed Sr., all of Vicksburg; one sister, Adrienne Middleton of Vicksburg; four grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
