Jane Hannon.
Jane Hannon died Thursday, March 30, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. She was 71.
Born April 18, 1934, in Armory, Miss., she had been a resident of Vicksburg for the past 40 years. Jane was the daughter of the late Brooks Owens and Ruth Norton Owens. She was a fervent bridge player and co-owner of KFC in Vicksburg, Natchez, Tallulah and Ferriday. Jane was active in civic and community projects and a member of First Baptist Church.
Jane Hannon was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Bobby G. Hannon of Vicksburg; two daughters, Barbara H. Rials and her husband, Robert Rials, of Vicksburg, and Cindy Hannon of Jackson; one granddaughter, Jane Aden Rials of Vicksburg; one grandson, Miller Rials of Vicksburg; and one sister, Jean Lemly of Brandon.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Riles Funeral Home with Dr. Matt Buckles, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Family interment services will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park in Clinton, Miss. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Habitat For Humanity-Metro Jackson, Inc., 1260 Ellis Ave., Jackson, MS 39209.
Pallbearers will be Richard Marcus, James H. Davis, William K. Caldwell, Malcolm Montgomery, Kayo Dottley and Gene Allen.
Honorary pallbearers will be the KFC Breakfast Club and the Wednesday Bridge Club.
