Hester Lee Brown died Monday, Sept. 25, 2006, at River Region West Campus. She was 77.

Mrs. Brown was a nurse’s assistant at Vicksburg Convalescent Home and Trace Haven for a number of years. She was a member of Travelers Rest M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pearlie and Henderson Williams Jr.; her husband, Henry Brown Sr.; two sons, John Walter Brown and Charlie Brown; two daughters, Pearlie Jones and Andrea Brown; a sister, Hazel Mitchell; and four brothers, Julius Williams, Henderson Williams III, Cornelius Williams and Percy B. Williams.

She is survived by four sons, Lee Dudley Brown and Floyd Ray Brown, both of Vicksburg, Henry Brown Jr. of Chicago and Michael Brown of Jackson; four daughters, Elnora Coats, Linda Kay Brown and Janice Brown, all of Vicksburg, and Charolyn Brown Young of Jackson; two brothers, Herman Williams of Gary, Ind., and Joseph Williams of St. Paul, Minn.; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Williams Funeral Service has charge of arrangements.

Thomas James McClure.

Thomas James &#8220T.J.” McClure died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, at Claiborne County Nursing Home. He was 81.

Mr. McClure was a member of Cool Springs M.B. Church. He was a veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jackson Dove McClure Sr.; his mother, Martha Young; a sister, Ruby Neal; and two brothers, Woodrow McClure and Jackson Dove McClure Jr.

Survivors include two sisters, Martha Evans and Shirlena McClure, both of Detroit; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cool Springs M.B. Church with the Rev. Byron Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Jefferson Funeral Home in charge.
