Warren County added a handful of new voters to the books this week.

About 43 people registered during the past two days, said Warren County Circuit Clerk Shelley Ashley-Palmertree.

The statewide deadline to sign up to vote in the Nov. 7 election was 5 p.m. Friday. In Sharkey, Issaquena and Claiborne counties, voters have until noon today.

As of Wednesday, the latest numbers available, about 35,220 people were registered in Warren County. A final voter count won’t be available for several days, said Ashley-Palmertree.
