Leo Koestler.
EDWARDS – Leo “Mickey” Koestler died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, at his home in Edwards. He was 72.
A Vicksburg native, Mr. Koestler was the son of the late Charles Herman Koestler and Kate O’Hara Koestler. He was a graduate of St. Aloysius High School and the University of Mississippi.
He was sales manager for Koestler’s Bakery for a number of years and owned Koestler Pallet Sales at the time of his death. He was a former member of the Civitan Club, Knights of Columbus Council 898 and was a communicant of St. Paul Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Koestler was preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary K. Hude; and a brother, Robert M. Koestler.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma R. Koestler of Edwards; one daughter, Marilyn Elizabeth Koestler of Edwards; four sons, Carl Lawrence Koestler of Clinton, Mark Christopher Koestler of Pineville, La., Kevin Martin Koestler of San Antonio, Texas, and Paul Gregory Koestler of Vicksburg; one sister, Katherine K. Raworth of Vicksburg; one brother, Charles Herman Koestler Jr. of Vicksburg; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick Farrell, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Riles Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at the church Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the service.
Pallbearers will be Jon Birdsong, Joseph Bonelli, Marilyn Elizabeth Koestler, Carl Lawrence Koestler, Mark Christopher Koestler, Kevin Martin Koestler, Paul Gregory Koestler and all nieces and nephews.

Steve M. Mabry Sr.
Services for Steve M. Mabry Sr. were at noon today at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. John Harper officiating. Burial followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation was from 10 this morning until the time of the service.
Steve M. Mabry Sr. died Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. He was 85.
A native of Yokena, Mr. Mabry had lived in Baton Rouge for some 30 years before returning to Vicksburg.
He was a production supervisor for Agrico Chemical Company for 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II in the Pacific Theater.
Mr. Mabry was preceded in death by his parents, Steven D. and Beulah Child Mabry; a baby daughter, Catherine Mabry; a brother, James Simrall; and a half-brother, Elbie Mabry.
Mr. Mabry is survived by his wife, Marie Williamson Mabry; two sons, Steve Mabry Jr. and his wife, Karen, of Vicksburg; and John J. Mabry and his wife, Millie, of Atlanta; two granddaughters, Jean Marie and Julie Mabry; two step-grandchildren, Mary Greyson Tamburello and Trey Sherman; and step-great-granchildren Whitney Watson, Jake Tamburello, Olivia Sherman and Greyson Sherman.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Williamson, Josh Williamson, Michael Elrod, Mike Whitehead, Kevin Whitehead and Mike Ables.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Russell Barnes and Dr. David M. Halinski.
