Harold Dean Courtney
Harold Dean Courtney died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood. He was 42.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with burial in Lakeland Place Garden Park.
Mr. Courtney owned and operated Courtney’s Machine Service for the last 15 years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, water skiing, riding motorcycles and four-wheelers and playing chess.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Meg Courtney of Brandon; his mother, Peggy Courtney of Brandon; his father and stepmother, Harold and Noreene Courtney of Pachuta; his grandfather Ruben Courtney of Laurel; one brother, David Courtney of Brandon; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Waverley and Becky Artz of Vicksburg; and several aunts and uncles.

Frances I. Fielder
Frances I. Fielder died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at Covenant Health and Rehab of Vicksburg. She was 84.
Miss Fielder was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg and an artist.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eustace N. Fielder Sr. and Irene Cotton Fielder, and one brother, Eustace N. Fielder Jr.
She is survived by a brother, Sidney Fielder of Vicksburg; a sister, Marie Hornsby of Lafayette, La.; and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Fielder family cemetery, behind Redbone United Methodist Church cemetery, with the Rev. Roger Cresswell officiating.

Lucinda Craig James
DETROIT – Lucinda Craig James died Friday, Dec. 29, 2006, at Bon Secours Hospital. She was 94.
Mrs. James was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Jim Craig and Jessie James; her parents, Tom and Lillie Riley; a brother, DeAuthur Riley; two sons, Henry Craig and Andrew Smart; and two daughters, Jenny Bee Craig and Gladys Ferguson.
She is survived by two daughters, Bernice Craig of Vicksburg and Willie B. Williams of Detroit; one son, James Craig of Detroit; 20 grandchildren, including Betty Brown, Brig. Gen. Robert Crear, Eloise Craig, Charles Craig and Gloristine Strong, all of Vicksburg; great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.
