Herbert McKnight Jr.

Services for Herbert McKnight Jr. will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Triumph Church with the Rev. Mike Fields officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 tonight at Williams Funeral Service and from noon Tuesday until the hour of service.

Mr. McKnight died Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at his home. He was 54.

Mr. McKnight was a member of Triumph Church and worked as a laboratory technician for the Engineer Research and Development Center. He served in the Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert McKnight Sr. and Tometta Douglas Wynn; two brothers, Luther Dunn and Charles Dunn; and three sisters, Clinteen Hodges Fung, Mattie L. Jones and Barbara McKnight Nash.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara McKnight of Vicksburg; three sons, Herbert McKnight III, Gregory McKnight and Thomas McKnight, all of Vicksburg; two daughters, Jacqueline Cheffin of Monroe and Felicia Henderson of Vicksburg; two brothers, Eddie Douglas of San Diego, Calif., and Clifford Hoggatt of Stone Mountain, Ga.; one sister, Laura McKnight of Rolling Fork; 12 grandchildren; and friends and other relatives, including members of the Copeland, Jones, Douglas, Hoggatt, Queens, McBride, Tillman, Cobbs and Jackson families of Vicksburg, the Duncan family of Tallulah and the Knight family of Natchez.
