Lucille Brown

ANGUILLA – Lucille Brown died Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at her home in Anguilla. She was 99.

Mrs. Brown is survived by three sons, Joseph Brown of Anguilla, Roosevelt Brown of Jackson and Robert Brown of Rolling Fork; and two daughters, Willie Mae Hampton of Chicago and Mattie Stevenson of Anguilla.

Services will be at noon Saturday at Christian Light M.B. Church with Pastor Willie Joyner officiating. Burial will follow at Cynthia Diana Cemetery in Anguilla under the direction of Walker Funeral Home of Rolling Fork.

Charles E. Jerkins

ST. JOSEPH – Charles E. Jerkins died Monday, May 28, 2007, at his home near St. Joseph. He was 64.

Born in Charlotte, N.C., Mr. Jerkins had lived in Tensas Parish for 12 years. He was a truck driver and attended Maryland Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the Marine Corps.

Survivors include a son, Charles Kelly Jerkins of Dade City, Fla.; one grandchild; and other relatives and friends, including Debra McDonald of Dade City.

Memorial services were at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Maryland Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Foster officiating.

Ella Wilson

Ella Wilson died Thursday, May 31, 2007, at River Region Medical Center. She was 80.

A homemaker, Mrs. Wilson was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Addie Ellis; and her father.

She is survived by a brother, Thomas Ellis of Fayette; and four sisters, Virginia Richardson of Calumet Park, Ill., Willie Love of Calumet City, Ill., Savannah Watts of Chicago and Julia Gross of Vicksburg.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
