Industrial expansions and additions worth more than $16 million were granted property tax breaks through the next 10 years by the Warren County Board of Supervisors Monday.
The ad valorem tax exemptions, allowed by state law as incentives for job creation and retention, were approved for five firms reporting capital improvements in 2006. All will pay assessments due on the $16,176,235 worth of improvements to the Vicksburg Warren School District. The exemptions apply only to county property taxes.
