Services for Gwendolyn Denise Mazie will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mazie died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, at River Region Medical Center. She was 40.

Mrs. Mazie was preceded in death by a son, Edward Jerome Mazie; her mother, Mary Nell Lenoir Catchings; and two brothers, Edward Don Lenoir and Tyrone Mazie.

Survivors include her father, Homer Mazie of Hazlehurst; six children, Edward Tyrone Mazie, Darren Antonyo Mazie, Jeremy Mazie, Joyce Lenoir, Clyde Mazie and Jermarcus Curry, all of Vicksburg; her fiance, Kenny Claiborne of Vicksburg; three brothers, Carlos Malone and Richard Lenoir, both of Hazlehurst, and Homer Lenoir of Vicksburg; two sisters, Betty Curry of Vicksburg and Sharon Malone of Hazlehurst; five grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends, including Rosie Jackson, Juton Miller and members of the Curry and Phillips families.

Annie Mae Shelton

Services for Annie Mae Shelton will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at King of Kings Christian Center on Mount Alban Road with Patrick Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 until 7 tonight at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Shelton died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at her home in Vicksburg. She was 94.

A homemaker, Ms. Shelton was a member of Greater Mount Lebanon M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Emma Buck; her husband, Walter Shelton; two daughters, Sallie Marie Shelton-Smith and Georgia Lee Shelton; six brothers, Jessie Tuntson Buck, Frank Buck, Sam Buck, George Buck, Will Buck and J.W. Buck; and five sisters, Willie Bell Buck, Ethel Lee Scott, Mattie Smith, Idela Washington and Rose Bea Dee.

Survivors include three daughters, Rachel Bell, Annie Woodland and Cynthia Shelton-Calvin, all of Vicksburg; three sons, Walter Shelton Jr., Johnnie Shelton and Bennie Lee Shelton, all of Vicksburg; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, including members of the Dee, Pollard, Brown, Smith and Buck families.
