Katie Mae Sanders Harris

Katie Mae Sanders Harris died Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, at River Region Medical Center. She was 85.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie W. Harris Sr.; her parents, Henry and Veta Sanders; three children, Catherine Ransome, Willie W. Harris Jr. and George C. Harris; two grandchildren, Charles Porter Jr., and Richard Prince Jr.; four brothers, Calvin Sanders, Percy Sanders, Henry Sanders Jr. and George Sanders; and four sisters, Mary Lee Sanders, Virginia Moseley, Annie Lee Mitchell and Gertrude Sanders.

Survivors include two sons, Francis C. Harris of Mainz, Germany, and Richard L. Harris of Vicksburg; three daughters, Susie H. Myers, Anne Lee Prince and Shirley H. Porter, all of Vicksburg; one sister, Maggie Lamb of Chicago; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other relatives.
