Trevillion and Ward were being held in the Issaquena County Jail on Friday night, each on $30,000 bond.

Aletha joins Armond and Alonzo Trevillion and Matthew Nash, all siblings, as well as Rufus Armstrong, in facing pending charges regarding the June 17, 2007, shooting death of 25-year-old Justin Maurice Harris on Grammar Street. Like Anthony Trevillion, the three brothers and Armstrong face charges of murder, shooting into an occupied dwelling, two counts of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon after a felony conviction.

According to reports, Harris had gone to the 1224 Grammar Street home about 3 a.m. June 17 after leaving a now defunct downtown nightclub on Grove Street when multiple shots were fired, one of which struck him in the left side. An argument over a woman had apparently taken place. Authorities say a sawed-off shotgun and an AK-47 rifle were used to kill Harris.

Anthony Trevillion was the only witnesses called to the stand by the defense.

Trevillion’s trial was the first of the five codefendants. According testimony, the defendant and Harris both had a child by the same woman.

No dates have been set for the other four trials.

Anthony and Armond Trevillion, along with two other men, were indicted in a double homicide 12 years ago. Nathan Carson Jr., 26, and Frederick Freeman, 19, were shot to death Aug. 18, 1996, outside the former River City Cabaret at Mulberry and Levee streets when Armond was 16 and Anthony was 19.

In that case, a defendant claimed responsibility for the shooting, and the Trevillions served aggravated assault sentences.
