Services for Rosie Lee “Tee” Sims will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert L. Miller Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sims died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at River Region Medical Center. She was 81.

Born in Bovina, Mrs. Sims lived in Berkeley, Calif., for a number of years before returning to Vicksburg in 2005. She was a homemaker and a retired licensed practical nurse. She was a former member of Berkeley Mount Zion M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Fannie Davis Gray; eight brothers; and five sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Fred Sims Sr. of Vicksburg; one son, Fred Sims Jr. of Vicksburg; two daughters, Sara Sims Red of Vicksburg and Diane Sims Bledsoe of Oakland, Calif.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
