DANVILLE, Ill. — Martha Lou Scott Mott died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville, Ill. She was 69.
Mrs. Mott was born in Warren County. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Ella Mae Scott Sanders and Jessie Sanders Sr.; and three brothers, Lexington Scott, Henry Erves and Jessie Sanders Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Willie Floyd Mott of Danville; three sons, Willie Mott Jr. and David Mott, both of Danville, and Michael Mott of Peoria, Ill.; four daughters, Betty Lawshea and Brenda Easley, both of Chicago, and Rosie Scott and Barbara Allen, both of Danville; a brother, Charles Sanders of Vicksburg; three sisters, Mary Hodge of Aurora, Ill., Seatress Sanders of Los Angeles and Thelma McGee of Raymond; 33 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives, including the Williams family of Vicksburg.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Life Church of Faith in Danville with the Rev. Tommy Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 5 p.m. on Friday at Leek Funeral Home in Danville.
