From staff reports

St. Aloysius had three passes intercepted with two going back for touchdowns as Mount Olive rolled to a 51-7 Region 4-1A win Friday night.

The Pirates (9-1, 8-1) locked up the No. 2 seed from the region and will be at home when the Class 1A playoffs begin in two weeks. St. Al (7-3, 6-3), meanwhile, faces a must-win game next week at Balzli Field against Stringer. The winner will likely finish fourth in the region, and the loser will miss the playoffs entirely.

The Flashes could not establish the pass. Quarterback Regan Nosser was just 2-of-13 for 17 yards and three picks.

One of the interceptions went for a 28-yard touchdown return to open the scoring. Diarran Keller then had a 29-yard TD pass and a 1-yard TD run to up the lead to 24-0 after the Pirates converted two more two-point conversions.

The Pirates led 30-0 at the half and then scored three touchdowns in the third quarter to take a 51-0 lead.
