ANGUILLA — Walter Edward Russell Sr. died Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at River Region Medical Center. He was 72.

He is survived by four sons, Walter Edward Russell Jr. and Kavin Russell, both of Anguilla, Carl Russell of Chicago and Keith Russell of Vicksburg; one daughter, Carolyn Spears of Vicksburg; five brothers, Dave Russell, Alex Russell and Edward Russell, all of Chicago, Charles Russell of Rolling Fork and Joseph Leroy Russell of Anguilla; three sisters, Betty Williams of Carthage, Ruby Cherry of Chicago and Alma Smith of Houston, Texas; and 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at noon Saturday at Christian Light M.B. Church in Anguilla with the Rev. Dale Wicks officiating. Burial will follow at Cary Community Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home in Rolling Fork.
