Danczyk and McCarthy to marry in Hattiesburg

The engagement of Kimberly Marie Danczyk to Sean Christopher McCarthy, both of Hattiesburg, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 7 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Hattiesburg. A reception will follow at Canebrake Country Club.
Ms. Danczyk is the daughter of Mike and Gail Parker of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Max and Eleanor Danczyk of Stevens Point, Wis.; the late Ben and Hazel Fairchild of Vicksburg; and Christine Parker of Laurel.
Mr. McCarthy is the son of Billy and Teresa McCarthy of Brandon. He is the grandson of Anne McCarthy and the late William McCarthy of Brandon and Bea Miller and the late Kenneth Miller of St. Peters, Mo.
The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Warren Central High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and inducted into the Hall of Fame.
She attends the University of Southern Mississippi, where she is minoring in French and will receive a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing in May.
Ms. Danczyk is an Alpha Delta Pi sorority alumna, Lucky Day Citizenship scholar recipient, Lettie Pate Whitehead Scholarship Foundation scholar recipient for nursing and a member of Omicron Delta Kappa honor society.
The prospective groom is a 2001 graduate of Northwest Rankin High School. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He received his Master of Science from USM in May 2007.
Mr. McCarthy is a graduate assistant in the School of Computing at USM and is a doctoral candidate of computational science. He is a Pi Kappa Phi fraternity alumnus and member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society.
