Melissa King and Noah Porter Sr. will be married at 2 p.m. today at Awesome Christ Warriors Outreach Tabernacle Church, 2064 Warner Road in Port Gibson.

Miss King is the daughter of Rosie King and Ronnie Trevillion, both of Fayette. She is the granddaughter of the late Etta and Jessie Nichols Sr. of Lorman, Odessay Trevillion of Fayette and John Colenburg of New Orleans.

Mr. Porter is the son of Beatrice and Willie Porter Jr. of Port Gibson. He is the grandson of the late Matile Booker and Willie Porter Sr., both of Fayette, and Lela Bruce and Henry Bruce, both of Port Gibson.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Jefferson County High School and is employed in management at McDonald’s of Vicksburg. She attends Awesome Christ Warriors Church, where she is a member of Ladies Ministry Group IV.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Port Gibson High School and is employed at Big River Shipbuilders of Vicksburg. He attends Awesome Christ Warriors Church, where he is an usher.
