BENTONIA — Michael C. Henderson died Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was 45.

Born in Vicksburg to D.L. Henderson and Frankie Brown, Mr. Henderson was a resident of Bentonia. He was a member and deacon at Oak Grove Baptist Church. He was a hunter and was employed as a welder for Ergon Corp.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Henderson of Bentonia; one daughter, Tara Henderson of Bentonia; two brothers, Ken Henderson of Bentonia and Damon Henderson of Vicksburg; two sisters, Kristie Green of Bentonia and Hattie Estelle Hull of Brandon; two stepbrothers, Richard Moore of Bentonia and Kenny Reaves of Vicksburg; and a stepsister, Donna Reaves of Vicksburg.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Darby Combs and Cory Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Yazoo County. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at Stricklin-King Funeral Home in Yazoo City.

Pallbearers will be Ray Dingler, Daniel Burrough, Billy Ray Harris, Dana Colding, Don Bufkin and Timmy Creel.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Martin, Todd Garley and Leon “Bo” Coody.
