Meeting Monday, the Warren County Board of Supervisors:
* Took under advisement four bids on eight sites eyed for anti-erosion work funded by the Natural Resource Conservation Service.
They included offers of $606,469 from Pearl-based Unicon Inc., $606,826.50 from Yazoo City-based CAMO Construction, $634,055.45 from Vicksburg-based Dirtworks Inc. and $756,852.25 from Vicksburg-based Buford Construction.
The sites are mainly in the northeast part of the county and comprise a $2.1 million package of roadside stabilization applications this year. Most of this year’s NRCS work is planned along LeTourneau Road, damaged by last spring’s Mississippi River floods. Supervisors are expected to open bids on that site Dec. 8.
* Approved payment invoices for County Engineer John McKee totaling $60,186.55 and for Board Attorney Paul Winfield totaling $4,770.93.
