The presentation, titled Lo’ He Cometh, will feature a mixture of seasonal hymns and carols accompanied by a piano and organ.

“I look forward to this every year,” said Mary Fowler, choir member and publicity chair. “I think everybody enjoys seasonal music, and we enjoy the challenge of doing, sometimes, more difficult pieces than you would normally hear from a caroling group.”

The choir has around 30 members and is comprised of Vicksburg residents. The group performs twice a year, in the fall and spring.

“We have everything from professional musicians, to church choir members, to people who just love to sing,” Fowler said.

Fowler, who has been a member of the choir for five years, said the fall/advent concert has been a tradition since 1983.

Last year, the event drew around 300 people.

Admission to Lo’ He Cometh is free, with donations accepted.
